FAQ About Yoga

Frequently Requested Information About Yoga and Private Yoga Sessions

Why is yoga good for me?

Practicing yoga allows us to explore and experience the many levels of our being.

Here are some questions you should ask yourself before starting yoga (plus always check with your doctor to make sure you have no health condition to prevent you from doing yoga).

  • What is my lifestyle?
  • What is the condition of my health?
  • What do I want yoga to do for me?

Everyone has a natural constitution. Our modern day existence
causes imbalances and create disturbances to all levels of our
physical, emotional and mental beings. By identifying our constitution with a Vinyasa yoga approach and developing our personal practice, we can reduce these imbalances.  Private yoga instruction is one-on-one time with the instructor. The yoga instruction is tailored to the individual needs of the student. Expect concentrated focus on what’s holding you back in your practice and life. Each private is unique. Some time will be spent in discussion, some isolating structural issues, some working on pranayama (breathing). The lessons are especially helpful in order to get started with yoga or if students have special requirements and feel more at ease in a private teaching surrounding they feel the need to receive the utmost attention during their yoga education. Students with a well developed practice can use the sessions to explore more advanced postures. Students are always encouraged to come prepared with a list of questions or goals.

Do I need to have an established practice before scheduling a private?

No. Privates are a great way to get acquainted with the studio JOjo’s teaching methodology. However, you will go deeper during your private if you have a strong foundation on which to build. Students new to yoga should expect to spend part of the private in discussion.

When are yoga privates scheduled?

Privates are scheduled throughout the day during the week.

How much do yoga privates cost?

$80.00 for a 60 minute session and $125.00 for a 75 minute session. Classes can be paid for online or at time of class. The fee for privates can be reduced by purchasing blocks of four (4) or more.

Can I split the cost between myself and a few friends?

Yes. Small classes of no more than 5 students can be scheduled. These small classes run for 90 minutes and cost $190.00.
